A non-circulating linear motion device with low frictional resistance consisting of a roller cage intersected at regular intervals by increasing the effective contact area of the precision roller and a dedicated guide precision molded and ground to the raceway with a 90 degree V-groove.
In the case of the cross-roller table, it is possible to eliminate the gap by using the rolling chain roller or to increase the rigidity of the guide by applying a preload.
The device is robust and accurate to ensure consistent movement, and the rigidity is also excellent for precise operation.
Ball bearings can be calibrated for device combinations of 5 to 10 µm, but cross roller bearings can be calibrated to less than 2 µm.
